So, working in the entertainment news field, it is VERY easy to get caught up in the gossip and tea that messy blogs spill. But with all of the negativity, hating and shading going on out there in the world, I wonder: how often do we as Christians take the time to pray for the people we see going through things? They could use it much more than they can use gossip.\u00a0 So here’s my first Sunday Prayer List, and feel free to add to the list in the comments!<\/p>\n
1)<\/strong> Chris Brown & Rihanna<\/strong>:\u00a0 This week, Chris Brown and Rihanna reunited<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and there is nothing anybody on earth can do about it. EBONY.com’s Jamilah Lemieux wrote an op-ed about how there’s “nothing left to say<\/a><\/strong><\/span>” about this situation. And it’s true.\u00a0 So let’s just pray that they’ll actively seek counseling for their mental and emotional health and\u00a0 keep it moving.<\/p>\n 2) Karrueche Tran<\/strong>: This is the girl Chris Brown dumped after over a year of dating in order to be with Rihanna guilt-free.\u00a0 Oh, and he also released a statement to the press making it clear that he dumped her and not the other way around! Oh, and he also released a psuedo-movie trailer where he drunkenly expresses that he’s in a mix, he’s in love with two women and he don’t wanna let none of them go<\/em>, which, obviously<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, Karrueche found humiliating (Did I mention we need to pray for Chris Brown?).\u00a0 On top of that, folks pretending like they can’t say her name have been calling her everything from KarMuffler to KillingMeSoftlyWithHisSong (and those were just the namesIgave her…oop!). The point is, she is having a rough week, so let’s lay off her, myself included, and lift the poor child up in prayer.<\/p>\n 3)<\/strong><\/strong> Bobbi Kristina<\/strong>: Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy, is afraid for Bobbi Kristina’s life<\/a><\/strong><\/span>. Cissy feels granting BK the $20 million in Whitney’s estate right now, when BK is only 19, she will end up dying tragically of substance abuse–particularly because of the people BK has influencing her right now in her vulnerable state: her father Bobby Brown and her adopted brother\/boyfriend Nick Gordon. There are also rumors that Cissy just wants the money for herself, which Cissy has denied. There is no mess like a family mess! Let’s pray for peace, guidance, deliverance from substance abuse and clinical counseling in each of their lives.<\/p>\n
